I don't know if this is the same family that you are interested in, but my great-great-grandfather's brother, Donald Murchie, son of Donald Murchie and Jean McCurdy, was born 4 Jul 1773 in Kilmory, Arran, Buteshire, Scotland. Donald Jr. married Janet McBride, daughter of Thomas McBride and Janet McMillan on 21 Aug 1810 in Kilmory Parish, Arran. She was born in West Bannan, Arran, baptised 3 Aug 1783 in Kilmory, Arran. Donald died 12 Jan 1837 in New Mills, New Brunswick, Canada and his wife Janet on 5 Mar 1872, also in New Mills, NB. Their grave stone may be seen in the Zion Cemetery, New Mills, NB. My gggfather was Peter Murchie, they were sons of Donald Murchie and Jean McCurdy who were married 24 Mar 1772 in Kilmory, Arran, Scotland. Peter emigrated to Restigouche Co., NB in 1831 and his brother Donald in 1833.
