Another fine weekend behind us and looking ahead....

Sal's 30th birthday party went brilliantly last Friday.

CRUSH UK were invited to perform at Lympstone Village Hall which has a great stage and big old room to fill.

'The Selectiv' opened proceedings with 60 minutes of dance/trance/pop delivered superbly by the three-piece.

Even though they used a 'drum machine' the music and vocal delivery were strong enough to pull the crowd in to the 'zone' and keep them there.

We took to the stage at 10.30 and played for an hour and a half mixing our classics with other great songs by our contemporaries.

The folks were dancing - particularly Sarah who had been freed from motherly duties for the first time in ages

We had a blast and Dave and Sally were happy bunnies until the wee hours of Saturday morning when we said goodbye.

Rick and Dave stuck around for the BobKatZ gig in Crediton on the Saturday night.

The sound was appalling and volume too high as usual, but the punters enjoyed it and hey it was another pay day.

Once the disco kicked in the pub basement at around 11pm we packed it in tout suite and headed back to the ponderosa for a good old sing song including a 'rehearsal' of the carols and christmas tunes we are likely to perform on Sunday December 17th along with our guests: Frampton, Cook & Moir.

Looking forward to this weekend we have another 'Kat fight on Friday at the New Quay Inn, Teignmouth and then Martin Weller gets to play solo on Sunday 19th Nov at the Tom Cobley in Paignton.

It's my second outing at the Tom Cobley and I have a couple of new tunes to test out, so I'm pretty excited about hangin my ego out for all to see (and bruise) again

I have also secured a show at the North Bridge Inn, Exeter on Tuesday 19th December, so it's all go

Your support at my solo shows would be a real bonus, cos I need all the partisans I can get to help to build me up buttercup.

For a full list of gigs have a look at this website in the gig section.

My sincere thanks to Robin and Sara for putting up with a particularly obnoxious Dudley and the usual Kookie Rick.

And to Sara who also braved a chest infection to add her vocal talent to, what was it, eight songs on Friday? - Well done kid.

Also thanks to Bing without whom.....

Hope to see you on the road soon.
