April 1968 was when I got my first guitar.
A second (at least) hand Watkins Rapier from Brady's Arcade, adjacent to Kingston (Upon Thames) Railway Station. It cost Ł5.
I still have it although it needs a serious re-fret, re-wiring and a general make-over. Perhaps I should treat myself (or it!).
Mine (even when I first got it) was never as pristine as the one pictured!
