It has been a roller coaster month. Some brilliant solo and band gigs, but unfortunately the dear old Redwing has disappeared along with Dave, Jackie and Derek. We were sad to hear the news and then wham! two more regular venues went down the tube - ouch!!
But just like Tigger we bounced back and I am happy to report two weeks later the agenda is looking healthy again thanks in no small part to the success of the new look BobKatZ.

We are delighted to be back at the First & Last, Exmouth and very pleased to have all scheduled shows at the Redwing taken over by Jo and Gary at the Saddlers Arms, Lympstone.

Mrs Weller’s performance of Mendelssohn’s ‘Elijah’ along with the Dawlish Choral Society was a triumph. Top quality! Rehearsals begin in September for the next piece, which will be ready for Christmas.
The BobKatZ’ shows as a three piece have been extremely well received. With new Jam, Damned, Undertones, Elvis Costello, Nine Below Zero and T. Rex tunes in the set it feels so fresh and exciting. Thanks to everyone who has kept the faith.
Clarefest, Sunday 22nd June 2008. We are delighted to be invited for the eighth year in a row to perform at the festival dedicated to the memory of Clare Millington. The full line up has yet to be confirmed, but CRUSH UK will be joined by Radar, Nick Thorman and who knows who else? plus ‘The Shanteymen’ and the hugely popular Paul Downes. It will be a riot. The event starts around 1pm with music, fun and fundraising til 7.30pm. The admission donation of £6 (pay on entry) will be distributed between Macmillan, Hospiscare and the 'Force' cancer charity. Happening this year on Sunday June 22nd at: West Wing, Varnes, Church Road (opposite the closed Redwing), Lympstone, Devon EX8 5JT

Having a Party?
We are delighted to receive requests to play weddings and birthday parties. We are also up for playing in your front/sitting/drawing rooms, garden, gazebo, grotto, marquee, wherever. We love a challenge; so do get in touch if you want a class act at your bash.
We play smoking or non-smoking venues and seeing as you can't puff in the bar anymore, folks are doing it for themselves at home and we are more than happy to oblige. Don't worry about volume cos we can keep it right down, or play acoustically [or not].
