Three ripping gigs for CRUSH UK and alumni.

Our first outing at the Globe Lympstone on 20th June was unreal. The people were the same but the place was different. It was hard to imagine that the Redwing's atmosphere could be recreated, but it was. Way to start the weekend

The Longbrook in Exeter on Saturday was as good in different ways. The football was on so it was a late start, then there was a fire alarm, but we managed to do the business and we received some great feedback. The venue is already looking to book us for 2009.

We were part of a mouth-watering line up who played at Clarefest 2008, Sunday 22nd June.

The 8th or was it 9th such event? Who knows but it was a fabulous day.

Performances from The Slapheads, Mako, Eat the rich, Dawn Chapman, Free Spirit, The Exmouth Shantymen, Goldrush, Joyce Gang, Kate Hathaway, Paul Downes and ending up with us as the sun was going down.

Perfect! And £2,000 for cancer charities was raised into the bargain.

CRUSH UK featured terrific guest appearances by Nick Thorman, Radar, Bing & Sara.

All we needed was the sun to shine (and it did), the rest was taken care of by the real stars of the village: Vivienne, Dave, Paul, Debbie and Terry and everyone else that lent a hand.

Roll on Clarefest 2009
