Well, I understand what you are saying, but from experience, I've met Peter on more than a few occassions and when its a small meeting, 1 or 2, he seems very nervous, very quiet and I wonder if it's just that he's in the strange position of not knowing what to say, or what's appropriate, but on the other side of that, I've met him in a group setting, and he is a different man ... laughing, joking, open and just fun to be around. I think it just comes down to his comfort level. The first day I met him, I first was able to speak to him one on one, and he was smiling, polite, but very quiet and shy, but then, 20 minutes later, standing next to him in a group, he was cracking jokes, even a little raunchy, lol, and talking openly like we've know him forever. I don't think he means to be standoffish ... I really do believe, from seeing him in action, that it's just his uncomfort or comfort and its not personal, its just his personality. Anyway ... just my opinion and experience, doesn't mean it's right or wrong, just sharing a thought.
Sorry you guys got me here now, Les and Liah! lol
