'Cracking'

As a groupie of the Katz, this was one of the best gigs I've been to yet. Right from the outset they were tight, fast and energetic.
After an absence of a few months while I was in hibernation, I returned to a revamped set and I LOVED "You've Got My Number".
Fans of the punk/new wave stuff will love it and Drakes is a cosy, atmospheric venue which I haven't been to before for live music. It works well if you don't mind being bumped around by a few enthusiastic but good-natured pogo dancers.
A few of us wrinklies who remember the 70s love hearing the old classics (Clash, Ramones, Undertones, Jam, etc), but the Katz have introduced some more recent numbers by Kaiser Chiefs and Arctic Monkeys which fit seamlessly with the set.
The Katz respond well to a good audience, very well worth making the effort to see. I don't know how I could have stayed away for so long...
