Ah, yes... the chirping of the whippoorwill, the buzzing of the fat little honeybee, the knock, knock, knock of the relentless woodpecker slowly proceeding to demolish the wood siding on our house... All these are welcome signs of spring, finally arrived.
But what matter these warm, idyllic, sunny days, blossoming buds and the growing mold in our basement?
Because, you see...
I've just added eleven NEW DATES to my UK/Scotland/Ireland 2009 tour!
That's right, faithful music lovers; no more emails complaining about having to drive over 45 minutes to the nearest Dean Friedman gig (after I've traveled 3,000+ miles to get there!). With 40 plus gigs now confirmed, I am, literally, playing right in everyone's own backyard! That's right. Just open the door and mosey outside, take a few steps and there I'll be, guitar in hand, ready to serenade you, virtually, in the comfort of your own home! Or, at least not too far from where you live.
So, check out some of the new gig listings, below. Then, call all your friends or relatives who happen to live in Falmouth or Farnham or Paignton or Braintree or Henley-on-Thames or Liverpool or on the Isle of Man or in Dublin or Lisburn (near Belfast) - or any of the other cities, villages, hamlets or round-abouts listed below - and invite them out for an enjoyable evening of song and questionable humor.
By the way, folks, there's still room for Tour Sponsors on my 2009 Tour Poster, so anyone reading this who's interested in promoting a product, service, charity, legal (or illegal) enterprise, or who'll just get a kick out of seeing their name/logo emblazoned on my 2009 Tour Poster (while supporting independent music), send me an email and we'll work something out.
And don't forget, I've got a couple of US dates coming up in April and May, too. (And maybe one of these days, when the planets are properly aligned (and I can get some decent guarantees ;-) I'll book a proper US tour, as well! Stay tuned, America!)
