We are really lucky here. We have a great plant growing couple who sell individual plugs, like caulis etc. I often buy a couple of each as our climate is so wild that one year something will do really well and other stuff won't. And I plant it all anyway. A local guy said to get your broc in in Feb so it frames up ready for winter. I use Marathon Hybrid as it produces huge heads then goes on shooting. The seed is easily obtained. I picked a small cauli last week and there is another one coming. I gave it to the peacocks becuase it was a bit brownish and they loved it. Oasis also brings out punnets of very advanced seedlings in a mix and if our locals are not selling I buy htem. Expensive but do really well. We had a frost last week, 1.2deg in our protected garden so colder out in the vegie garden. The other nights were 4.2deg. A lot of stuff got burnt by the cold. We are picking great apples tho. Cheers. P
