Thank you very much for the welcome and introduction. I sympathise a great deal with what you have been through recently. It is very hard but it sounds like you have solid support and for that I am glad.
I am 30, British, moved to Los Angeles, California just over a year ago for my career. I am still in the process of divorcing my husband and trying to sell our home, loosing the life we created together and letting go our our dreams was one of the hardest things I have ever done. I too feel regret for hurting my ex-husband by leaving, but I know the choice I made was the right thing to do for both of us and it was a hard choice to make. There was a lot of emotional damage that we both did during a time when I was clinically depressed, in the end I had to put myself first.
I am still in the process of trying to make a new life for myself and I miss my friends and family a great deal. But I also think being here, for now, is where I need to be.
I don't really feel ready to speak about the feelings the film woke in me or what I went through, it was not nearly as bad as in the film, but I am just not ready. Watching the film was a step in the right direction I think.
I am glad you say you are doing much better. So am I, slowly healing what has gone on before.
