Well this is really a message for an amazing person called Carol. I had pretty much given up trying to reach out to anyone as I had hoped more people might talk to me about their abusive experience and not feel so alone. I haven't really visited this site for some time as I had given up however tonight I checked my email and found a message from Carol. What a thoughful, sweet person to write to me to follow up on my progress.
Carol, things are not easy for me right now. I spoke to my colleague who has very kindly, kept many things off the record. However, the entire situation has confronted me quite badly and I am having trouble sleeping. I'm sure I would never admit this to my friends and family but anonymity allows me to tell you that I am now drinking quite heavily each night to fall asleep.
I can feel things slipping away and don't really know how this has happened considering how happy and content I was a few short months ago... Anyway carol, I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate your kindness and wish you all the best, xo.
