Well, you are definitely not alone...far from it.
Personally, I liked/like that alone time. I think its when I stop worrying about everyone else and really have space to feel how I feel about it all.
Its so important to give yourself that time - maybe this was coming for you - and cry your little heart out and let the tears roll- on your own, away from everything and everyone..there is no age limit to that.
If you give yourself the chance, to let youself go quite far down for a day or so, and don't be scared to feel 'that' grief , you tend to rise back up again. And the world looks different again.
A nice book is called 'Broken Open' by Elizabeth Lesser..its quite girly, with an American- 70's feminist - spiritual-slightly new age-therapy conscious and air gasping- etc etc ..blah, blah..! , but there a couple of stories in there that broke my heart to pieces. It reads well, if not beautifully, and it helped me a lot. The idea of crossing over from difficult times ..its good.It is very beautiful in parts. If you want a copy I'll be happy to give you one.
You'll be fine, M.
Anyway, its tropical climate here in London and so best sleep and get up early and for the first time to enjoy where I live and get some river breeeeeze and dare I say it, some hot sun!! A real Summer!
But no, Marge,(aside from senseless rambling)no, you are not on your own and you will get better..xx
much love, tor
