Louise, I am glad you are alright! THAT is such a scary thing, no matter how much or how little the damage is. I would be totalling shaking from the incident.
And no, do not feel silly about feeling sad for the loss of your car. WOW, sounded like a beauty! I just got my own car a little over a year ago - the last one I owned by myself was back in 1980! (my ex-husband always drove our cars after that) So my car now is very special to me, and it IS my freedom.
But back to your accident, I am SO sorry it happened, and thank you for sharing your story. I hope you are feeling somewhat better, and again, so glad it was bruises and not anything worse.
