Well, after a biteless 6 hours at Spuyten Duyvil ( east/hudson rivers) on
Sunday, and more of the same on Monday at City Island; I can tell you first hand
that the water is too cold and the fish are too busy to be hungry right
now......But I'm planning on trying again today!!! Yes, despite fishing with some
friends and 8 rods baited with Clams, Bunker, Sandworms, Bloodworms.....The
fish seem to know that it is still a little over 2 weeks to opening day!!!!
What to do when the Cabin Fever is at it's worst?? Go to the fishing/boat
shows that are timed so perfectly every year!! Tom and I did just that, starting
with the NYSF's 22nd annual Sportfishing show in Freeport. Next day it was a
ride to Uniondale and the L.I. Boat Show. We visited every booth
