Canon EOS 400D / Rebel XTi

Hello again. I wonder if anyone has used a Canon EOS 400D / Rebel XTi for night photography? I know that posters here have recommended the EOS 30D, but the 400D is cheaper here in the UK, has a larger sensor, and apparently has new technology to beat the "dust on the sensor problem" It sounds too good to be true!

Any advice please. Thanks
