4 photographers! Judging from Ivan's email I'm presuming he too feels surprised by this. From my perspective I feel utterly ashamed that I didn't pursue the enthusiasm I felt when I first saw the call for entries.
This is the bit with the excuses; too busy, too tired, weather was rubbish, didn't think my British perspective on America would work or that my perspective on Britain would be understood, kids were sick, dog needed walking, couldn't figure out how to make dubya's face from slugs & other nocturnal creatures.
All of which are almost as unforgivable as the excuses fed to us by a pair of muppet leaders who couldn't believe their luck.
As my school report so often used to say 'Must try harder' never had so much truth to it. It's sad but maybe 'Not ready to make waves' would've been more appropriate.
