Nocturnists,
Just in case there's not enuf going on in your life, this "High Season of Night Photography" (Noctober!) - you might consider this offer from The Nocturnes:
As you probably know, we are looking for "a few good docents" for our Fifth Annual "Studio Nocturne" event at Fort Mason - part of SF Open Studios. We thought we'd ask all "the usual suspects" if anyone could volunteer to act as docent for a few hours on either day (October 13-14). It's always a fun event, a great opportunity to help out, as well as meet a lot of great people!
We are trying to get people to commit to 2 hour shifts:
11am - 1pm
1 - 3pm
2 - 4pm
4 - 6pm
Just let us know if you want to cover any of these, either day.
Contact us directly at studio@thenocturnes.com if you can do it, and let us know what shift you can handle. Also, if you know of anyone who might be interested, that would be great, too, and while it would be great if they were well-versed in the nocturne, a general interest in art, photography, and or creative-type community is all that is required - they don't need to be NPrs! In addition to greeting and directing visitors to the respective artists in the show, you get to meet some great fans of the nocturne and see some great work.
Regardless - hope to see you (in any capacity) at Studio Nocturne next weekend.
