I'm wondering if anyone has any experiences to share regarding noise
levels on long exposures with the 5D. I just came back from teaching a
workshop at Big Bend National Park where 6 out of 13 students had 5Ds.
Three of them had significant noise issues at exposures over about 3
minutes w/o in camera noise reduction, and over about 6 or 7 minutes
with it. The other three cameras had no such problem, even at 15
minutes!
I'd like to collect a large collection of CR2 files and send them to Canon. If
you have any exposures in the 10-15 minute range that you would be
wiling to share, please get in touch.
