"LOUISIANA WOMAN, MISSISSIPPI MAN"
"LOUISIANA WOMAN, MISSISSIPPI MAN" has been honored again in 2005.
CMT and the CMA named it the second most popular duet in the history
of Country Music. Songs Jim written have sold over 30 million
copies, and that one song accounts for almost half of those sales.
Also, that year, "LOUISIANA WOMAN, MISSISSIPPI MAN" went over ONE
MILLION plays on radio and television. Only a handful of songs have
sold 13 million copies and even fewer have logged a million
airplays. What a song!

Kitty Houston might not be from Houston, but I she can sing a
Texas song or any song compatible with her voice of which she
has used to good effect over these many years and from those
early times when her husband played in the Conway Twitty Band.
Kitty writes great songs including "Keep On Keepin' On" "So
Satisfied" "Forever Raining" "Hey Baby" etc and sings with T.J.
Murr, Buddy Sims And Roy Cost on Roadshow And AROK Records.
She resides in the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma area. You see, she
was married to Lew Houston, who used to play in those early days
in that famous band...as "the steel guitar man!"
'Not
bragging, just stating a fact, Kitty remembers well those days
of some hard traveling, before Conway found his niche in country
music, having originally been a rock or rockabilly singer. Now,
