I am a direct descendant of this couple who's marriage bond was posted on Feb. 14, 1802 in Orange County NC. A Robert Stewart married Jane Turrentine in 1795. Wondering if Robert and Alexander are brothers, and who were their parents? When did they arrive in this country, and were they from Ireland or Scotland? I am aware of the Turrentine side of the family, but have been tracking the Stewarts for a couple of years. Does anyone have any other information about Alexander? He died in Rutherford County Tennessee in the 1820's.
