Sandy Allen married twice and had seven children from each wife. His son Malcolm was married to Dr. Martin Martin's sister and had eleven children.
In Dave Hunter's list of strays, malcolm's daughter Ella MacDonald is mentioned.
Donald MacLeod, married to Catherine was my ggrandfather, he came over from Kendram Skye in 1803.
With him came four sons who settled in Orwell Cove and China Point, another son stayed on the croft in Skye and his descendants are there until this day.
: : Hector: That is interesting, I did not know "Sandy" had a son named Malcolm. Do you live on the homestead? (I assume you are a direct descendant.) I am collecting all the descendants of Allan Macdonald. At any rate thank you for responding. I did know where & when they came from Skye but I was hoping someone would know their parents, especially as Allan Macdonald seemed to be such a respected figure, as evidenced in the letters of reccommendation he got for emigrating.

: : : : I am looking for information on the parents of Donald Matheson (abt. 1809-1882)of Skye who married Catherine Macdonald (abt. 1807-1874)of the same place. Also the ancestry of her parents Allan J. Macdonald and Margaret MacKinnon of Skye. Allan apparently had siblings Margaret (married John Kinlock Macdonald) and Catherine (married Donald Macleod of Skye and lived in Point Prim). Donald lived in Bell Creek (now Bell River) and is buried at Belfast. Donald Matheson's children were Flora (whom I think married Roderick Macleod of Melville), Allan (m. Mary Murchison), Alexander (m. Flora Ross), Christy (m. Malcolm R. Stewart of Sconser, Isle of Skye), and Duncan, my g-g-grandfather, who married Emma Lucetta Furness and lived in Vernon River. Any ancestral or descendant information of these namesw would be appreciated.

: : : Allan and Margaret were from Kilmuir Isle of Skye, came to P.E.I. in 1829, settled in Lyndale, later moved to Dundas leaving one son named Sandy Allen on the farm in Lyndale. His son Malcolm died at our house about 1949.
