I am descended from Donald Finlayson and Marion MacIntosh, married in Portree, Skye, on January 6th, 1825. Their son Charles Finlayson married to Marion McDougall in Snizort, 1856, migrated to Australia in 1857, to Smeaton in Victoria. There was another Finlayson family in this same area, also from Skye, and I'm trying to find out if we are related, Alexander Finlayson and his wife Isabella McKay. I believe Charles and Alexander were cousins. It is painstaking work, but I am slowly getting there. I believe I am related to most of your families mentioned on this site too!
