: My grandfather was Gilbert F. Nicolson of Isle of Skye, died in Edinburgh.  He married Roberta Yorkton Bell.  Mother always said he belonged to the McLeod of Stewart.  Since I was born and raised in the US, I'm not exactly sure what that means.  Interested if you have any information on my grandfather's family.
