Now how would I handle the middle east situation, let me see, I would turn it into a peace keeping, rebuilding mission instead of a military occupation, link our two nations in a common goal, the rebuilding of a lesser developed nation, at least modernize it a bit and bring a western influence to it, but yet leave it as an independent nation with it's own rule. That means no democratic spread, I used to run the communist red spread argument years ago, but now I believe that it is the democratic spread that will lead to nuclear war...just my little smart @ss thought. We seem to want to push our ideas on other countries and like I say all the time, what works here, might not be what is best for everyone else. Kinda like anchovies, some people like them on pizza and I think it is the most disgusting thing in the world. That is how I feel about us pushing our political system on other nations. LEt them be, it is the diversity that provides more inspiration. You know, I have this same philosophic conversation with the Jehovah's witnesses....of course bono knows and understands, I am thinking of a pentagram welcome mat on the front door steps. Think that would get rid of them....of course you know me, it would be inverted just for a tickle. Now back to politics, which incidentally, I avoid as much as I can. Now get the UN to lift sactions against Iraq and Iran, why should we not be best of friends and help each other out. Iran could be our friend if we gave it a chance and stop forcing our ideas on them. Let them be, I say. Work together to solve the problems and not create more. I would work towards healing the wounds between the middle east and the west. Peaceful negotiations and that we listen to what they believe and not judge them for a different education then ours, but to educate them, like the Iranian guy.....I would take him on a tour of the horrors of world war 2 and then let him judge for himself whether or not it really happpened....see, education is the key. I am not really up to date on all that, I only really read the headlines anymore. Today, I am just in one of those spout off at you moods and since you have the opportunity that I no longer really have to shake hands with the leaders of the world, well, I want to give you my two cents. Perhaps you will concur with my thoughts, perhaps not. It is just an idea, why not take your fame and put it to some use. Don't miss this opportunity to go there as an embassador of good will. That is what I would want to be, and you can do it Cusack, even if you are a no talent @ssclown....do something great, at least you dare to be different. That is what I like about you.
