Brisbane service to mark Coral Sea battle anniversary
A commemoration service will take place at Newstead House in Brisbane this morning, marking the 66th anniversary of the Battle of the Coral Sea.
From 10:00am (AEST), Australian Navy personnel will join their American colleagues from the warship USS Cleveland, which is visiting Brisbane.
The warship arrived in Brisbane yesterday.
The ship has been in the Persian Gulf and has 1,400 personnel on board.
It is berthed at Hamilton Wharf but will not be open for public tours.
