Translation:
My 'missus' was on the 'phone' "for a long time'. She 'exhausted herself' in the garden and 'needed to sleep'. One of my 'friends/ workmates' 'is incredibly lazy/avoids work' but he still (I might be mistaken on this on?) 'got drunk every day'. He (not sure on this one...... some of this slang is only used by those born before 1940, and I don't fit the bill)
I asked him if it was ' the most accurate information' and he said it was. Being a woman, she loved 'a good talk', especially over 'the phone'. I prefer (Don't know this one either-maybe sultanas?) on the scones (yes, these are made with flour and water or milk, baked, then served with butter or jam and cream)
(The Blue Flyer is another one I don't know)
We'll 'manage to get by' but it's 'difficult during a drought'. He's not a 'reliable/trustworthy man' he's been 'drinking heavily' for six months.

How did I do Joe?
Fair crack of the whip mate, I'm only a whippersnapper, yer know.
Mind you, I am legal, and I don't mind getting togged up now and then, especially if there's going to be a bit of a whirl. But remember to bring a plate.

LOL
Catherine
