Hi Michelle.
Luckily my mum in law is just up the road and she will help with poddy lambs if it gets too much. She only has 2 so has room for more!
Sometimes we find that the most orphaned lambs come in the first rush of lambing and then it quietens down as the births are more staggered over time. We also had a huge wind and dust storm yesterday that probably stressed the ewes as well.
I'm not sure what is going to happen to the average family farm. We are really struggling at the moment and, to be honest, having lambs to care for helps take my mind off the other problems, even if it does cost a bit to raise them. I dont know what we are going to do.

I have borderline gestational diabetes and went to see a diabetes counsellor today (something else we couldnt afford but had to do). Nothing to worry about, really....just watch my diet and check blood every day and see how it goes. Trying to prevent a humongous baby!
