Kodys' feet are still healing. The two back feet are looking very good. The left foot split again and kept becoming ulcerated but has now healed. The same foot was badly bruised by her jumping up at the door when she wanted to go outside. The two front feet are still not really good. The front left foot seems to be healed but there is a lot of scar tissure that causes her to keep licking it. The front right foot is still healing. It is badly split and the split is about 5/8" long (16mm). It causes her a lot of pain and she continually limps. She is so fed up with it all that she now bares all her teeth when I treat her foot. There is so much pain she has endured. She will grab my hand as I treat the foot but she would never sink the teeth into my hand. We will all be so pleased when the split has finaly closed and healed. All the skin has filled back into her feet and the hair has also grown back. We concider this a true miracle there were no hair folicles or skin left on her feet. The heavy scar tissue may require surgery later on as the next few months pass. It will depend on how well she is walking and if she still limps. We dont want to do surgery as she will be almost back to when she was first burnt. She loves to play games and runs around the property but it does cost as she ends up with very painful feet. All things concidered, she is doing very well and she always gets lots and lots of TLC.
