ive been told its an admission of the animal being a danger and if someone even a crime trying to break in gets bite they can sue you - thats what i was told
me is rather they got a surprise
when we lived in town no one broke in they may have tried but our dog never let them in
she has setlled a bit in her old age and being out of town helps
