WOW we have had people break in and then SUE the person they broke into because they got hurt and you know what THEY WON so you know what you could be right on this. I didn't think about that side. WOW I am so stupid sometime you are absolutely right on this point.
I reckon you can never really be protected but I think since you had a dog a burgalar would think to go somewhere else then to be having to deal with a dog. Tell you a good one. In my 20's early twenties (I was really stupid) I went to move to Reno Navada and I had 3 dogs with me all friendly someone broke into my gremlin and took stuff I had a gun and ammo but they only took the ammo we were in a hotel room when this happened any how my dogs were all in the car and it was like nothing happened with them so I reckon a dogs are not always a deturent. But we had a boy robbing everyone nearly on our street except for two of us but he had been bit by one of the dogs we had at the time. I don't know maybe a reputation helps you think so.
