My husband and I have been searching for 3 years for his birth family. He is currently serving his 3rd tour in Iraq and has asked me to continue the search as I can. He was born in Orange County, NY in Aug. 1971 according to the birth certificate that was issued by NY to his adoptive parents and was adopted though Orange County Social Services. He was taken by his adoptive parents sometime in October of 1971 and the adotion was final in mid-April of 1972. We do not have his last name at birth, only the name "James". The only information that we have on his birth parents is that his mother was 19 and attending or going to attend beauty school and that his father, age about 21, was engaged to another woman and may not have known that there was a chid on the way. His birth aunt may have worked at the social services department in which he was adopted. He and I have a beautiful daughter together and a child on the way and would really like to know if there are any health issues that may be in their future or his. He already has a couple of health issues that could potentially be genetically inherited but we will never know if we don't get the information that is needed. My husband has mentioned on several different occations that he doesn't feel complete not knowing who his birth family is and whether or not he has any biological brothers or sisters.
