: Tony,my name is joanne,I grew up on LI,i lived in bay shore, east islip maybe easy, go to the courts,probley riverhead like me when iw as adopted in 1973 in bay shore but came from ny foundling.don't tell them your adopted right away, see if they will give you some info ,also check with the adoption home you came from,if you know,write them as well.It has taken me 24 yrs and out of that 7 to get ny foundling to own up to teh truths and let me tell ya it isn't easy,they may suggest only non id,if ya wnat email me at christmasny@yahoo.com and i will try to help you,my friends call me jo.
Hi, thanks Jo and Alice I have already registered with the NY Board of Health and am waiting for any results. Jo, NY Foundling is what? I see it's for kid taken out of households it seems. I was adopted as an infant I beleiev from a Catholic Org. of somekind? We'll see. I will look into it further though
