Does anyone know if the Birth Mother's and Adoptee's NY Registry Numbers are suppose to be identical if there is a match? The Adoptee's number begins with 69-114 and the Birth Mother's number begins with 69-140. Do those numbers mean anything? Is there a method to the number series, aside from the year of birth? I am referring to a birth and adoption that took place in Upstate NY.
