address book. Your Victim Story Releasing the victim paradigm is more than the focus of
our individual lifetime, it is our mission during the Shift to transform
this energy into empowerment. This means a complete shift from our win/lose,
better/worse, rich/poor and have/have not mentality. What would the world
look like if there were no more victims? Although it has existed for
lifetimes of human evolution the victim paradigm will be released during our
generation because we have the spiritual understanding and desire to make
this transformation. Part of this process involves identifying, healing and
releasing our own victim story. It's easy to identify a victim story, it starts with what
someone 'did' to you, made you do or prevented you from doing. It describes
an unhappy, traumatic event from any point in your life that you repeat to
yourself and others about a situation that you cannot understand or
reconcile. It is a reminder of your powerlessness or how others have used
their power against you. And it is a reason why you feel stuck, unable to
move forward. Your victim story is very powerful and as long as you believe
it, it is the story of your life that becomes more powerful with each
retelling. The amount of energy you focus on it determines the degree to
which it rises from the past to shape your current reality. The more often
it is repeated the more it becomes ingrained and true. Although it did
happen once upon a time, how long will it continue to happen before you
transform it into a story of empowerment and overcoming, instead of one of
victimization and defeat? Releasing the victim paradigm is a three step process:
taking responsibility for your life, remembering who is powerful and in
control of your reality and being willing to see your life beyond your
victim story. The third step is the most important because if we cannot see
ourselves as happy, successful, at peace, and moving forward, no one else
can do that for us. As with any process of transformation, it occurs when we
are ready to do so. To release our victim story we must be prepared to
forgive the ones who hurt us. And then, find a new story for our life. Releasing our victim story creates a gap that we can
replace with another story, one that is more empowering and resonates with
the joy and fulfillment we are seeking. Does our victim story reinforce our
powerlessness or is it a call to rise to our power? Can we find the
blessings through the pain? Every experience holds a blessing, no matter how
disguised it is. A victim experience has strong karmic roots that involve
soul contracts and karmic cycles. Remembering that reminds us that there is
more to this story than what has happened in our current reality. Seeing the
bigger picture allows us to connect dots that can bring a final closure to
our eons of victim experiences. What is your victim story? Are you willing
to release it? Can you visualize your life one step beyond your victim
story? That is all it takes to change your victim story into one of
empowerment and to bring your life forward from your victim story to the

2008 has been a year of closure, balance, connecting to
our power and releasing many old paradigms. 2009 will be a much different
kind of year, one that will bring many surprises, among them changes in the
kind of work that we do, new opportunities to participate in the changing
corporate model and new ways to bring spirit to our work. Many people will
find work opportunities that had not been previously available and
invitations to use their spiritual gifts and energy in the workplace in ways
that are accepted and even encouraged. The gap between doing 'spiritual' and
'material' work will narrow as well as a new recognition of spiritual work
as a career and being recognized for it. These are interesting times and
everything is possible. There was a time when 'spiritual' people did spiritual
work and generally avoided or were kept out of mainstream life. There was a
definite distinction between those engaged in spiritual work and everyone
else. And spiritual work was generally seen as an interest or hobby and not
as a 'serious' career. Spiritual workers were not always comfortable with
the financial aspect of their businesses and had a difficult time explaining
the benefit of their work or finding interested clients. As with many other
areas of life, the Shift is changing the nature of work and will bring
greater spiritual and material balance into this area. Our spirituality is part of everything we do, so there
will be less emphasis on how spiritual the nature of our work is and more on
how we bring our energy to the workplace. And workplaces will be open to
receiving this energy. More energy workers and those who are spiritually
knowledgeable or enlightened will be needed in every area of society,
including those that have previously been closed or unavailable. This
includes the corporate workplace, which is being shifted dramatically. The
increased erosion of steady or guaranteed employment will bring fear and
confusion as well as a need for people to clear the energy blocks that have
prevented them from following their passion instead of simply earning a
paycheck. The current changes in the structure of the work world are
all part of a shifting global paradigm that will change work from what we do
to get a paycheck to what we contribute based on our gifts and doing work
that we love. With a growing mainstream interest in all things spiritual,
opportunities for work may open up for you. Are you open to them? You may
find that a job that seems to be exactly right for you and your spiritual
gifts will be part of the package. Things may appear to be slowing down but
they are actually preparing to take a turn into new and exciting directions.
So be prepared for miracles because that is exactly what the Universe will
deliver as it prepares us to share our spiritual gifts and participate in
the transformation of the world of work from material to a more balanced
combination with spirit.

It may be difficult for you to acknowledge, as you
participate in lessons with others, that you have no control over the life
or choices of anyone around you. Even those who are your soul mates or part
of your soul group are in control of their own life path and soul journey.
Whether they make decisions that you consider weak or powerful, wise or
ill-advised, you have no control over any aspect of their life, no matter
how much you may want to prevent them from harm. You can send them healing,
love and light, but you have no control over how they will respond, or
whether they will use the gifts you have given them. When you try to control
you are acting from fear and your belief in others' powerlessness. Even your children have their own soul journey that you do
not control. The Indigo and Crystal children have karmic journeys to travel
and many have chosen their contracts carefully, to ensure the greatest
healing and transformation for themselves, their generation and the world.
You can prepare them for their journey in the best way possible but you have
no control over how they travel through it. Your efforts to control these
children may be met with great resistance as they know their purpose and
that of their journey, and how important their work is. Your ability to control extends to your own reality and
soul journey. Within your soul journey you have the possibility to alter the
vibrations of the planet when you work through love and abandon control.
Your attempts at control arise from your fear, especially that fear that
comes from knowing the karmic journeys you have traveled with others and
what may be included in their experiences. Do not doubt their wisdom or the
purpose of their journey. Your energy is best utilized when you believe in
others' wisdom and power instead of trying to control them because you
believe they are powerless and fear for them. These are times that require great spiritual courage.
There are choices to be made that will determine whether one is ready for
ascension into spiritual mastery or requires additional time for learning
and integration. Each person will choose according to their soul's need for
healing. No one has control or influence over another's choices. In your
human experience you have expectations of responsibility based on
relationships but in your spiritual experience you are all souls on a
journey to wholeness, each one with infinite power and a healing purpose.
When you release your need to control because you are in fear you empower
yourself and everyone to fulfill their journey in a powerful way.

It is hard to get Indigos to think about the future. It is
even harder to get them to worry about the future. They don't like to worry
about anything. Some Indigos just can't see that far ahead and live in the
moment because that is all they can focus on. Many have parents who worry
for them and a few think that the world will be so different by the time
they reach their thirties that they don't even think about it. It is
possible to get Indigos to consider the future and even to plan for it, but
not by encouraging them to worry about it. Indigos do worry but they have already decided what they
are going to worry about, in their own way. Many have family problems, are
addressing their own confusion, doubts and insecurities and are more
concerned about global issues than what is happening in their own life. They
have a different way of worrying that involves distractions such as video
games, talking to their friends or spending time doing what appears to be
nothing. But this is when they think, worry and consider their options.
Indigos place a great deal of importance on what their friends think and may
share their most private concerns with them, instead of their parents. Our Indigo children may ignore our attempts to encourage
them to give consideration to their future, especially if we present our
comments in a way that lets them know we are worried about them or their
apparent lack of concern. They just can't see the point in worrying about
something that has not yet happened. Their lives are all about lessons, what
is the lesson for them in this? Perhaps they need a lesson in
responsibility, if they are not paying attention to their life. Maybe they
need a lesson in consequences, something that many Indigos learn the hard
way. Can we let go of our fears and let them take the fall for their
behavior? Often that is what happens, despite our best attempts at
prevention. At a time when it appears to be so important to be
prepared for the future, we have a generation that is often not interested
and may tune out our comments by turning on the TV or their favorite video
game. But we don't know everything they are processing and they may be even
more concerned than we are. Remember they do not multi-task very well and
are best at handling one situation at a time. When they have the time and
energy, they will address each issue in turn. And when they need to, they
can surprise us with their creativity, foresight, competence and maturity.
So if your Indigo won't respond to your worrying, try not to worry about it.
They may have a solution in place and when they are ready, they will show
you that they have already thought about the problem and created a solution,
all without worrying.
