THE MEASURE OF MASTERY
3 October 2009 Beloved and holy and only Child of our heavenly Father, Child of the
one Source, Child of Light, divine. That is who you are. Take it
deeply within the consciousness and contemplate what that means. I am
the one known as Jeshua ben Joseph, Jesus you have called me, and it
is in great joy that I come to abide with you this evening in your
timing as you have chosen once again to call me forth. Great joy of friendship, as it was in the olden days when we traveled
together. It is once again great joy of companionship, great joy of
Oneness, great joy of knowing the innocence that the world does not
understand. Great joy of knowing divinity come forth into form to
live, to experience, to express that divinity and that Light. Therefore, allow yourself to rise up in spirit and to know yourself to
be expansive, to know yourself to be joy-even more than what the world
understands as happiness and joy-to know yourself truly alive in joy,
because that is your divine nature. You are expansive beings. You have done the most wonderful miraculous
job of focusing on a small portion of the divinity of you, of focusing
upon what you call the body and you call the personality that you
identify with in this lifetime. You do a miracle in every moment to
bring the divinity of you, which is unlimited, into a limited
understanding and focal point of this lifetime. So whenever you are getting into a place of wondering, "Is there worth
for me? Do I matter? Do I have value?," allow yourself the deep
breath, allow yourself to come home with that deep breath and to know
that truly you are the miracle worker who allows temporarily to focus,
to be just around a few feet perhaps out from the body as to
understanding what you are. You are a miracle, a miracle walking, talking, expressing, laughing,
crying, considering, wondering, "Where do I go from here, what do I do
now?," all of the usual human questions. You are a walking miracle,
because even as you ask the question, the answer comes. I have seen
you say that even in this grouping, where you have said, "As I was
going to ask you a question, Yeshua, the answer came to me," or you
will say, "I had a question when I first came here, but you answered
it for me already." Very definitely, gay marriage.I see I am sitting upon a sign that
says, "I support gay marriage," (Laughter) And I do. I support
marriage as a commitment of love, for truly, the gender of the body
does not matter. As a friend of mine known as the Ram has said, "It
does not matter what the plumbing is. What matters is the heart and
the love of the heart." But I digress. Truly, as you have understood lifetimes, you have struggled through
many lifetimes. You have known all of the nuances of human expression,
and many times things will come to you or to a co-worker or a friend
and you will be able to relate. You will understand what they are
speaking of. It may be your situation or it may not be your situation
in this lifetime, but you can relate and you can understand, because
truly you have been there in another lifetime. There is nothing in the human experience that you have not tried on
for size to see how it feels, and in this lifetime you are trying on
other various nuances of human expression to see how that might feel.
Many of you travel to various lands and places to get a feel for
history, to get a feel for the energy in certain places, and you
connect with the energy. Every lifetime you have left a mark upon our holy Mother Earth-
sometimes a physical mark, but I mean more the spiritual mark. You
have made impact, and you have left your energy. It is there when you
go back and you visit what would be a foreign land or a new place, and
you find something that feels familiar. It is because you have left
your energy in those places. Everywhere you walk you leave an imprint. You even have in your world
now a focusing upon what is called the carbon footprint, and how big
your footprint is in the global focus of energy. Everywhere you have
gone in this lifetime and other lifetimes you have made impact of one
sort or another, because you have wanted to know, "How does it feel to
experience certain things?" You have had lifetimes where you have been the servant, the one who
was invisible and you were only there to serve. You had no value apart
from your service. Sometimes it was a very abusive lifetime where you
were seen to be only an object, if you were seen at all. Other
lifetimes you have been the ones who have been the leaders and the
royalty, and you have been the ones who have made decisions that have
affected many others who have volunteered to be affected by those
decisions. You have played all of the roles, and then you come back one more time
to tweak the roles just a bit to see, "How could I play this a bit
differently?" We have spoken often of the scripting and how you choose
before the incarnation a broad scripting as to what you will play. And
then there is always the opportunity for the improv, and that is why
when ones ask of me to prophesy as to where they should go, what they
should do, and especially to give a timeline, I say it is nigh unto
impossible, because as soon as I will do a timeline, you will go and
change it. That is the nature. You enjoy change. You want change. You have heard this coming up quite
often recently because there is an underlying thread of truth that
runs through all of this that you know what the world is experiencing
now is not the best that could be; therefore, there has to be change
in order to bring about that which you desire, that which you
envision: harmony and respect for all life, respect for every living
being, whatever form. And so it has come from the depth of your being, this cry for change,
and it has gone back eons of time; not just the most recent lifetimes
that you can read in your history books, but before the history that
is written in your books but is remembered in your soul. The history
that you and many of the fellow conspiritors-I will call them, because
you do breathe together-are now working on is a remembrance of
Atlantean times and a remembrance of how that worked out and whether
you are going to go the same route, and you are not, because you know
how that worked. This lifetime your technology is giving you the opportunity to go the
same route, but the choices are different and the understanding of the
heart is different. So you do see ones who move to the brink of what
was accomplished, if I may used that word, in Atlantis. You see ones
go to the brink and then there is the rising up of the spirit that
says, "No, we will do it a different way this time." But there is a remembrance that is deep within you that remembers how
to create, and now how to create for good, for healing; healing of the
body-that is important-but more than that, healing of the soul,
healing of friendships that have been torn asunder because of choices
that were made in pre-history. Some of you have come together in this lifetime and you have wondered
about one that you have met, and there has been a feeling of, "I know
this person, but I'm not quite sure if I trust this person." And you
wonder, "Well, where does that feeling come from? I don't even know
this person," and yet there is a feeling of keeping a distance, if you
will, until you get to know them a little bit more and see that in
this lifetime they are their own person, not the same as the one that
you knew eons of time ago. You are regrouping, you are coming together as a family, you are
coming together as friends once again and playing some of the old
scripting to a certain point and then the most miraculous wonderful
change comes in, because you choose for change. You have prophecy now, which is most wonderful to watch, of just a few
years from now that there is going to be a big change upon holy Mother
Earth, this knowing of the 2012, as it has been called. You have found
all kinds of channeled information about it, and this is wonderful,
because you are bringing it forth for yourself in order to sit with it
and see what your truth is about the year 2012. It does not have to be anyone else's truth; that is their truth. But
you choose for yourself what feels true to you and what you want to
experience. Because you see, the year 2012 has not been written yet.
Even though you may have the "wise ones" who are channeling all of
this information because you have asked them to, they may say that
thus and so is going to be happening in 2012. But I say unto you, 2012, 2011, 2010 has not been written yet. Even
what you see as the morrow has not been written yet. You are the
makers of what you experience. You are the makers who are the judge
and jury of everything that you bring forth, and it is written in your
holy Scriptures that whatever you create, call it good, because truly,
everything is good, even if it has the appearance of being a disaster.
It will lead, it has led the holy Child to a place where you can make
new choice, to the place where you are now considering and taking back
your power of choice, of remembering how powerful you are. So everything serves the atonement, that realization of at-One-ment,
that realization that you have come forth from the one Source, the one
Mind to experience and to express everything in creative Oneness. That
is how wonderful you are. Now, I know the world speaks to you that
there are many challenges. The body is going to undergo changes as
there are certain years garnered to yourself. You look at the birth
certificate; people ask when were you born, and you tell them and they
say, "Oh," or they don't say anything, they just give you a look
(Laughter) as the years roll by. Every year, every day is a treasure. Every day you garner to yourself
more experience and more treasure of knowing what you can experience,
where you can go in your mind, in your meditations, and with the
physical body, as well. Every year, as ones count off the years-and I
know there are many of you so gathered in this grouping who are coming
to what seems to be a certain special day-every year is a treasure as
you look back on it and you see where you have gone, what you have
done, the friends you have made, the realizations and insights that
have come to you, the opportunities that you have brought to yourself,
and the opportunities that you have walked into, sometimes knowingly,
sometimes not knowing, and yet every opportunity serves you. So as you look back over the years that you have garnered to yourself,
it is as you would open the treasure chest and you would take out the
jewels and you would look at the pearl, the opal, the emerald, the
amethyst, the diamond. You would look at each one and see that every
year you have put another jewel into the treasure chest. It is most wonderful to be able to take stock and to account to
yourself for where you have been and what you have done and what you
have overcome. All of you have agreed that you will walk the walk of
human life, and when you agreed to that, there was built into it
certain-not destiny, because that can always be changed-but a certain
understanding that if you choose "A", then probably "B" will result
from it, etc. And so as the human traveling a life journey, you have chosen some
great challenges and some smaller challenges in order to live your
divine being. It was the same for me. There were choices whether to
study at Mt Carmel, to study the ancient texts, to be able to read
what was written in the heavens. There were choices as to where I
would travel and when I would travel and who I might meet up with and
ask them questions as to where they had been and what they learned and
what they knew, because that is how you broaden your experience. Everyone you meet has treasure to share with you, so ask them. Ask the
questions of everyone you meet. You will be surprised at how expansive
your understanding will become, because they will share with you their
understanding of their journey. Every lifetime you have added to the treasure chest, and you can
access that treasure chest any time you want to-by meditation, by
sitting and asking, by working and allowing the mind to sometimes go
off somewhere as you are doing the routine things that don't take a
lot of focus of the mind, and you allow the mind to go backwards or
forward and to explore ideas, remembrances. Take yourself back.in this moment, allow yourself the deep breath, and
allow yourself to go back to the being that you have been in the
Atlantean time when you were the creator bringing forth new creative
inventions, when you were working with crystals, and when you were
finding what crystals could do as you were knowing Oneness with the
energy of a crystal. Allow yourself to feel how you felt and to see the goal that you had
in that lifetime as to how you wanted to use the energy of the
crystals. Some of you in a particular lifetime saw the energy of the
crystal to portray, to convey to you personal power. Others of you saw
the healing energy of the crystal and how it could be used for
healing; no judgment, but just to understand, to feel, and with that
feeling, to know that you are not held in this room, this lifetime,
this personality, this pathway, this journey. Because in the last couple of moments or so you have traveled, as your
historians measure time, back many, many eons of time to a
realization, a reality that is true; it is legendary according to some
of your history books, if it is mentioned at all, but it is true. It
is a true reality that you have lived. You have been there. You have also walked the path of peace with nature in Lemuria. Feel
you that peace and know that that peace of nature can be found yet.
Some of your trees that have been growing for centuries of time, allow
yourself to sit with them in the mind and sometimes with the physical
body, to sit with them and to ask of them what have they seen, and
what would they advise for the future. Everything is open to you. Everything. There is nothing that is held
away from you. There is nothing that would be denied. It cannot be
denied the holy creative Child that you are. That is why I come each
time we so meet and I encourage you to go for it, to live your dream,
to ask of yourself what is your dream. What do you want to see
happening in your own life? What do you want to see happening with the
grouping of friends? What do you want to see upon the face of our holy
Mother, the Earth? Every time we so meet, I am your cheerleader. I speak to you of
divinity. I speak to you of truths that go beyond the truth of this
reality that yet struggles with duality, confusion, warring even in
your own mind. Should I do this, should I do that, should I say this,
or should I keep quiet? And I speak to you of your divine power. I
speak to you words of love, because you are so loved. I speak to you
to kindle remembrance of the greatness of the spirit of you that will
not, cannot be denied. All of you are great masters. You have chosen to be in this reality at
this time, just as you have chosen many other times when there would
be a turning of an age, a time of awakening. You have said, "I want to
be there for that, for the quickening of the energy. I want to be
there and add my energy to it. And so you have come one more time into a reality that struggles, into
a reality that says, "Everything that could possibly go wrong is
probably going to go wrong." You have heard friends and co-workers say
that. "I know that whatever can go wrong, it's gonna go wrong."
Sometimes you have tried to cheer them up out of that place, and then
if they don't want to hear words of encouragement and cheer, you do as
I had to do several times, to knock the dust off my sandals and walk
to the next place where ones did want to hear a message of hope. And sometimes you will say, "Well, that is your truth." You can say it
to them with a smile on your face. You can say, "Well, you may be
right," because for them, that is their perspective, and it is right
for them. But it doesn't have to be right for you. So you dust your
sandals off and you come running as fast as you can to the ones of
like mind, the ones who believe in the best and want to live in a
place of joy, a place that does remember the innocence of the holy
Child. You are all masters, courageous masters. You have come from that place
of the heart. That is what the root of the word courageous comes from-
coeur-the heart. You are all courageous. You all come from the heart
to serve the Light, to serve the awakening one more time. The measure of a master, and the measure of mastery itself, is very
simple. You can do this for yourself. The measure of mastery is in the
time that it takes you to be in that place of turmoil, to understand
that place of confusion, and then to come to peace. Sometimes it may
take you a decade or longer. They call it a certain stage of life. You
may have to live through a certain stage of life. Other times it may
take you a couple of weeks. Other times it may take you only a deep
breath, and then you come to that place of peace that says, "Whatever
happens is good, because it serves the atonement. Whatever happens, I
add my energy of knowing the blessedness of it, and therefore it is
good." So if you want to know the measure of how you as a master are coming
along with this journey, if you want the progress report that is often
asked for, you can do this for yourself easily. When you get into that
place where you don't know what to do, or you feel that everything
seems to be at sixes and sevens and nothing is working together, allow
yourself the deep breath and come to the place of peace. If it doesn't
happen right away, that is okay. Take another deep breath and ask for
peace. If it takes you an hour, a day, a fortnight, even a year to be
at peace with something, that is okay. That is the measure of
mastery. And as I have said, you can see how quickly you have changed, how
quickly. If you would cast your mind back to a decade ago when you
were in a certain situation somewhat different than where you are now
and you were going through a bit of questioning about something and
there was perhaps an issue that was very close to your heart and it
hurt, now you look at it and you see it differently. You can see the
blessing that has been in it and the goodness in it, even though at
the time, a decade ago, it might have been very painful. Even casting your mind back what you would see to be six months ago,
you can see where you are now with an issue that has been troubling
you. The measure of mastery-it can happen with the deep breath in an
instant, or it may take longer, and that is okay. There is no
judgment, because truly there is no time. In this reality there seems
to be time, but in truth, it does not matter if it takes you lifetimes
before you have lived a certain situation over and over and over and
then finally come to a place where you have said, "It really doesn't
matter. It really doesn't affect me at all, what 'they' choose to
do." But sometimes in a lifetime it seems very important what "they" have
chosen to do, and you can feel very hurt by what they have chosen to
do. But then you can come to a place where you say, "But that touches
me not. It is their choice. It is what they see to be important that
they need to do," and you can let it go. The measure of a master can be measured by how long or short a time it
takes you to come to that place of peace. It can be done, as I said,
with the deep breath. It can be done with the candle. If you are
wanting something tangible, light a candle and look into the flame,
the energy of the candle, and know yourself to be that light, for
truly, you are the one creating the light of the candle. In truth,
that candle does not exist except as you have brought it forth in your
consciousness. Now, the world does not say that to you. The world says that the
candle is tangible, that if you touch the flame you are going to feel
it, that there are going to be physical sensations with it. But that
is the teaching of the world, and you can go beyond that. You have
seen ones snuff out the candle flame with their fingers, and you
wonder, "How can they do that? That's fire. How can they snuff out
that flame with their fingers?" You have felt, "If I did that.I don't
think I want to do that. That would be too hot." But if you are in a certain state of mind and you reach out and you
squeeze that flame, you can extinguish it with no harm to the fingers.
It is the state of mind, the consciousness that makes the difference.
It is the state of mind, it is the consciousness that determines what
you see your life to be and how you see it to be. Some of you have wondered, "Why am I here? I enjoy my life, I enjoy
traveling, I enjoy my friends, I enjoy the books that I read, but why
am I here? Surely there has to be a reason more than that." It is to
be the Light that lifts up the world. It is to be the master in
realization and to know that every issue that comes to you, you have
invited. Now, sometimes separated ego doesn't want to hear that. I invited this
mess? I invited this relationship? I invited all of this abuse. I have
invited the illness? I have invited the economic downturn? Yes, you
have, in order to know your divine power, in order to know the divine
power of choice to live in a different space. That is what I have called the measure of mastery, to be able to
choose to live in the space of divine love, a space that knows that no
matter what the world is doing, no matter what the body seems to be
doing, no matter what anyone else is doing, I am living the I Am
Intelligence. I Am Love. I am okay. Start with that one. You can
understand that one, the human self. I am okay. And you are. You are
truly more than okay, but sometimes separated ego doesn't want to go
any farther than that, so you can start with, "I am okay.I think." And
you are. Allow yourself in every day to celebrate your Self. And by that, I
mean to look back over the challenges, the experiences of this
lifetime and to see where you have come. See where you were a decade
ago. And separated ego may say, "Well, a decade ago I was younger, I
was prettier, I had more golden coins. I had more of the worldly
accolades-maybe yes, maybe no." But as you will assess the measure of mastery, you will realize that
now you can come to that place of peace much more quickly than you did
previously. You can come to that place where you are okay with
whatever anyone else chooses. You are okay with whatever the body
brings to you. You are okay with every issue, because you know that
you are stronger and you are more than any issue. Some of the issues feel like big stumbling blocks. You lose a loved
one and they don't send you a post card, and it feels big. But the
master of you-and you are all masters-comes to know that that
experience was not a downer. It was not a minus sign, but a plus, and
you look at all of the treasure that came from whatever issue you have
dealt with or are dealing with. You look at all of the expansion of
experience that it brings to you instead of looking at all that you
have lost, because truly you never lose anything anyway. You look at all of the positive things that have come out of that
experience, all of the treasures that you have stored away in the
treasure chest, and only you know those treasures. You can open that
treasure chest and you can take out each tool and look at it and say,
"This is the jewel that came from when my parents left. This is the
jewel that came when my mate left. At the time I thought it was a
piece of coal, an old stone, an old rock. I would have thrown it away,
but something told me to put it in the treasure chest. But now I see
that there are sparkles on it, and it looks different to me." That is the measure of the master, to be able to see the good very
quickly in everything that you experience. As you travel the journey
of life, there are many opportunities to judge; to judge self, that is
the first one. And you have been taught, even subconsciously, by the
parents and the peers that probably you weren't quite good enough.
Maybe you didn't make the cheerleading squad. Maybe you didn't make
the first string of the football team. Maybe you weren't the best
orator. Maybe you didn't get the highest grades; whatever. The peers would tell you whether you were good enough or not good
enough, and the parents-even the most well-meaning parents-would
encourage you to do better. And you thought, "Well, if they're saying
that I should do better, that means that I'm not there yet, I'm not
perfect yet, so I must be imperfect." The parents are perhaps seeing the child that they are very proud of,
but maybe there's a few little areas where there could be some
improvement of something. That's how they point that out. And then you
take that as a message that, "Oh, I'm not quite good enough." Your heavenly Father/Mother sees you as perfect, because you have to
be. You are the extension of that creative Principle. It is neutral.
There is no good or bad, less or more. It Is, and no judgment about
it. But the human experience is very much open to judgment of self first,
but judgment of others. "She's not doing her job the way she should be
doing it. She could put in more hours. She could apply herself better.
She really isn't trying. He isn't doing what the job description says
it should be. Who does he think he is, saying such and such to me? Who
do they think they are to exclude me from their group? I'm as good as
they are. Why don't they welcome me into their group? Why do they seem
cliquish and want to shut me out? What's wrong with me that they don't
accept me?" Any of you ever felt that? Sure, you have (Laughter) I heard a no
there, but I don't think it's a true one. You have all felt that in
the human experience, and the reason that you draw that to yourself is
so you can assess it for yourself and know that you are good enough,
that you are exactly what you have said that you will be. And you are
the most perfect self that anyone can be. No one else has walked in your sandals, your shoes. No one else knows
your experiences. You are unique in this lifetime according to the
scripting that you have chosen. It doesn't mean to say that there
aren't others who are going through something similar. There are many
who struggle with the same issues, but no one else knows what you have
felt, what you have chosen, what you have studied, what you have
gleaned from the studies. No one else knows; the same as you cannot
judge another one, truly, because you have not walked in their sandals
and you don't know what they have felt and what they have struggled
with. The human nature is very quick to assess-I will use that word instead
of "judge"-to assess how well the other person is doing. And then you
take a deep breath and you say, "But I cannot know, because I do not
know where they have been and what they have experienced." And then if
you will sit with that for a moment or so longer, you will begin to
see that they are doing the best that they know how to do. Even if it
doesn't look very good, they are trying the best that they know how to
do based on previous experience that they have had. Because, you see, the choices that you make, the first choices that
you make are always based on past experience. That comes up as a
habitual response, but you don't have to stay with that habitual
response. In fact, many of you are now wanting to know the measure of
mastery, so you are saying, "There must be another way to look at
this." And so you go past that first judgment and that first reaction and you
say there's more that is happening here within my experience and
within theirs, as well, and nothing happens by chance. It only happens
by invitation, and if I have invited this into my life, it has to be
for a good reason. I am serving. And now this is very true. I am
serving mySelf-capital "S"-with the experience, and I am also serving
everyone else who comes in contact with me so that they may have
opportunity to live in divine judgment, to be able to see what is
going on from a different perspective. You are all teachers, every one of you, as to how you live your life
and how ones will watch you as to how you live your life, and they
learn from you. That is why you thank them for the opportunity for
being able to serve them. They may do a double take, like why are you
thanking me. But the best gift that you can give to anyone is to allow
them to serve, to be able to open up and move past habitual appearance
and habitual judgment, that first response, and to be able to move to
the second and third response where there is an understanding that
there is much more going on here than what I have thought was going on
or what anyone else has told me is going on. Then you come to the second and the third and perhaps the fourth or
fifth response where you begin to see with the eyes of the beholder;
not the eyes that are just so into a situation that you can only see
what is right in front of the nose. That is what happens first of all,
and that is where the habitual response comes in, born of many
lifetimes where you have lived a similar experience. So, as I have said, every first response is a habitual response based
on past experience. But you are moving past that and you are opening
up your treasure chests and you are taking out the jewels of
lifetimes, the jewels of this lifetime, and seeing that everything, no
matter how it looked in the beginning, is a jewel, a treasure. Even some of the experiences that were the most difficult for you are
the ones that shine most brightly now. So whenever the world-you have
a saying that I think is most appropriate-whenever the world will give
you lemons, you make lemonade. Whenever the world will present to you
an issue that seems to be difficult, know that that issue is going to
be the brightest jewel in your treasure chest. Allow yourself the first response, and then know that you can move
beyond that, because that is based on the past experience. Take the
deep breath and go deeper with it. Ask, "How can I see this
differently?" And sometimes separated ego doesn't want to see it
differently. Sometimes separated ego says, "No, I want to stay with my
hurt and anger. They have done such a manure pile on top of me that
it's going to take me awhile to get out of this." That is separated
ego speaking to you, and that is okay. You work your way through it and know that when you have come through
it, that which has seemed to be this huge pile of manure is actually
being sold in the stores at a great price as fertilizer. Regard every experience as good. Everything that you create, every day
of creation, look upon it and call it good, because it is. Allow
yourself to know that you are the master come once again into this
experience to let your Light shine, to be joyful in the face of
sorrow, to be comforting to another one and yet to lift them up with
hope. Know that always I am here for you. If there is no one else who will
listen to you, I will listen to you. Always I hear you when you call.
Always call upon me. I am always here for you. I love that which you
are, because I know that which you are, the divine holy Child
experiencing and expressing as the human one more time. And I give
unto you my great respect, my joy, and my love. So be it.
