Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I have no running back stays but halyards to both bows sounds sounds like it should reduce the chance of the mast dropping to one side or the other. My boat is a production version as well' with the same tubular mast beam, but I can't see how to get the shrouds to the beam because of their length. Does it sound as if my rig is different to yours?
