Hi Craig
You can read about the Stride mast raising in the Meet the Builders section. Use - Find - mast.
The long and the short of it is that if you are not running a backstay, as is the case with Strider, then you attach the side stays. Because the side stays are aft of the mast the bast cannot fall forward - check. You can now lay the mast on the deck and use the fwd stay to raise it. Because of the non existing angle you need to create an angle. You can do this either by using something like a spinniker pole or just prop the mast up on a short ladder ( use your imagination). Now that you have an angle you can start raising it using the fwd stay tied to something. The something can be another winch, be it the trailer winch, a car winch or the main sheet winch. You would tie a rope to the shackle on the fwd stay and extend this to wherever you need to go. You should be able to use the forward beam for tying some pulley to. You can then choose to pull from there or take the rope back to the rear where you can assist the angle of the mast. Do not worry about the sideways movement of the mast. The stays on either side or even both will tighten and keep it at bay.
I have included a link to our previous discussion. I have now found that with my 9.5m mast I can raise it without the poles as long as I get the angle started first. If I am by myself I use a v welded onto square tubing to keep in in position.
If nothing else my ideas/sketches can stimulate your personal thinking specific to your setup.
Hope this helps
