
I just finished raising the mast on my wizard. This is how I did it:
I ran a line down the length of each hull from bow to stern with a loop/eye in line at the pivot point of the mast. (On a strider you could use the out board ends of the mast beam.) With the mast in place attached the running backs to this point tight! The shrouds are in place on mast and chainplates they are slack. I used the spinnaker pole with the spin halyard to pull the mast up with the trailer winch. (You could go the other way with the boom and main sheet to pull it up.)
The mast cant go any farther forward than the shrouds will allow, and the running backs keep it from falling side to side.
