shadow vs tiki 26

I'm comparing the figures on paper between a Woods Shadow (with the bigger rig) and a Wharram tiki 26.

Tiki 26

Waterline 22'6"
Draft 1'4"
Weight 1550 lbs
Payload 1700 lbs
Sail Area 285 sq ft

Shadow
------
Length 24'
Waterline 22'
Draft 1'9"
Weight 1543 lbs
Payload 661 lbs
Sail Area 269 sq ft

I've never sailed either but I'm considering building one. The stats are very similar between the two except for the Tiki's payload...how can there be that much of a difference? Or is one estimate conservative and the other optimistic?

What about performance? Would those be similar? And building time/cost?
