I debated long and hard whether to have a pop bottom or a fixed nacelle. In the end I went for the fixed nacelle; partly because it would get finished sooner, so we could go sailing. Also because in the Pacific North West it is normally flat water sailing, it is very rare to get any waves at all (apart from powerboat wakes!). So it didn't matter if the nacelle was low when sailing.
