Job Specification European Field Surveyor
The Vacancy
This is a unique opportunity for a person who enjoys high mileage motoring to join a dynamic team.
This position will require the successful candidate to travel extensively throughout Europe, checking the position and attributes of existing and new speed camera locations. A vehicle, equipment and training will be provided.
Preference will be given to applicants who are fluent in one or more European language other than English.
Salary: 16 - 18k pa plus expenses. UK contract of employment.
Specification
Reporting to the Database Manager, the main duties involved in the job:
Using GPS equipment, surveying the following:
o Fixed & temporary speed cameras
o Red light cameras
o Common positions of mobile speed camera sites
o Other databases that may, from time to time, be required
Extended periods of driving throughout Europe
Requirements
Must be fluent in both spoken and written English
Have a clean European Drivers License
Have a valid Passport
The ability to be consistent under repetition, following established procedures
An aptitude for attention to detail and accuracy
A high level of self-discipline, management and motivation
The ability to work flexible hours, including some night work
A valid EU / UK work permit
Preference will be given to candidates who possess:
Experience of using satellite navigation devices
Experience of surveying
