G'day from Australia;
I was involved with Rochester/Medway in the 70's and 80's before emigrating to Australia. I will be in Enland next month and plan to visit the Club with my old friend John Cooper. I have been in contact with Taff who indicated he may place a message about my visit which gave me the idea of placing one myself. Firstly may I congratulate the team on their recent promotions and wish them all the best for the coming season. Secondly it would be great to meet as many of my old friends and team mates when we visit. We plan to come to the Vigo game on the 1st November.
I don't know how many of the Old Holcs team of the mid 70's are still around but if any of you know any of them it would be great if you could let them know we will be there as it would be great to see as many as possible.
The names I remember are Graham Gibson, Frank Price, Laurie Griffith, Alan Spackman, George Hornby (Snr), Chip Fretwell, John Morgan, Paul Driscoll, Tom John, Jim Springett Bart Hooper and John Halliday. I have left out Tony Bishop as I see him regularily as he also lives in Australia, he will be in the UK at the time but will be in Yorkshire. The other 2 regular members of the team were John and myself. Of course the were many other players both young and old who played and it would be great to see any of those.
