: : I would say try looking up name of st. vincentes mental hospital/( I think) it was a very large place and the location is about right I had herd that on one side they built like a reastrant so close to it you can't see what buildings are left,this could have been one of there buildings for special persons,the nuns stayed in a different building ,If I remember what my girlfriend who worked there in the 1975/1980 time frame,yes the building does have shackels in the basement attached to the wall: hope that helps,just a newbie here.gg
If anyone is looking for the insane asylum it isn't there anymore. I grew up in Jennings, and for everyones information it is in Jennings, not Florissant, when you would look up in the windows at night you could see really pale faces staring down at you. It was really creepy and you would hear noises! Just letting everyone know it is no longer there, the hill is still there, but it is just an empty lot. They were having too many problems with people going in there, and, they were affraid people would get hurt going in there, so Jennings had it torn down. I was suprised though since it was one of the oldest buildings in Jennings. Just wanted to update! By the way whoever took the pictures, AWSOME JOB!
