: I have been to the tunnel SO many times. My friends and I love going out there just to scare ourselvs I guess. But we live in Hawk Point, MO, the town about 3 or 4 miles from the tunnel. There are so many stories about strange thing happening out there, I am not sure if all of them are true, but I know some of them must be.
: After going out there a few times and not being able to see all that great, my friends and I decided to buy a few hand held spot lights. They are a million candel power, so are very bright. When ever we go out there, we will get to the other side of the tunnel and the lights will just go out. But we get back to the entrance of the tunnel the will work again. Another strange thing about going out there is the house you have to pass to get there...those dogs that run out in front of the car...they will NEVER go farther than the corner. I was ther once with a few friends and we walked through to the other side, and noticed a much smaller tunnel like thing. It was so small only one person could fit in at once, so we all got in a line and followed each other in, We couldnt stand up straight, and there was so much water, and mud, and muck in it came up to our knees. This little tunnel was not straight, so it took a long time to get to the other side. Then we decided to walk through the actual tunnel again and we got about halfway through, and our lights went out and a dog was barking at us, so we screamd and ran back to our car and drove up to the tunnel and all we could see was this blueish figure thing coming towawrds us. We have this on video, and when watching it, it looks like a lantern or something coming at us. Some other strange things i have seen out there are a lot of people coming down the hill dressed all in black saying things...kinda like a chant or something when they came down, my frieneds and I didnt know what to sayu or do so we just stared, these people just acted like they didnt even notice us...like we were invisible or something.
: I have heard many stories from my parents and my friends parents and most of them are like the ones on your site..but the school is Happy Hill School House. It is wayyy far back in the woods.
The house you were talking about that you have to pass to get there is my grandparents house. It is slightly run down as they are both elderly and can't keep up with the work anymore. The dogs well dog (one died) chases everyone's tires and will only go so far down the road both ways. My grandparents own 10 acres of that land and used to let Boy Scouts use the land for their camping ventures. That is probably were the so called "chanting" everyone keeps talking about came from, (the boys singing.) They would have alot of different Scout Troops there so there are alot of fire pitts on their land. I read on one of these Blogs that someone found fire pitts and they assumed they were from Satan Worshippers. My grandparents have lived there for many years and have never had any experiences with any of the stuff everyone keeps talking about. This so called Satan's Tunnel is only as scary as your mind allows it to be. Especially if your already freaked out before you get there, your mind will just scare the heck out of you.
