I am researching my Kenny /McNamara family tree.
Bridget Kenny was born 1809 in Six-Mile-Bridge, Co Clare, Ireland (father John Daniel Kenny and mother Mary White). She married Michael McNamara in Cratlow Co Clare Ireland. Bridget and Michael migrated to Australia arriving 4 April 1843 in Launceston, Tasmania on the ship "Branken Moor" with their 8 month old son James and Bridget's brother Michael Kenny.
The South Australian Biographical Index records Bridget and Michael McNamara and daughter Mary in SA in 1844. Bridget's death records (died 5 April 1883, Laen North, Victoria, Australia, buried Donald, Victoria, Australia)) record their children as
Michael (dcd)
James 40 years
Mary (dcd)
Margaret 35 years (she married Alexander Deady)
Michael 28 years
Family folklore says that Bridget and Michael McNamara were at Sheoak Log with brother Michael Kenny. Bridgets death records record in Australian Colony 29 years and in Victoria 8 years. The informant was her nephew John Kenny from Rich Avon West so I am presuming that her husband Michael McNamara had predeceased her although I have no records of this.
