: My wife and I are only just starting to trace the family tree, the McNamara side isn't so bad - the other side is a real bugger!!! My mother-in-law told me today that Patrick & Mary are from the village of Ballycorick (County Clare)(lived and married there) if that is any help?

: : : : if we are talking about the same PATRICK McNAMARA...I think he was born in 1828. He was married to MARY BROWN (born 1830). They arrived in Moreton Bay from ??? in 1856 (20/11/1856) aboard the "LADY McDONALD". They had two children with them...Mary (born 1855) and unknown boy (Michael????) born on board the vessel during voyage???. They also had two more boys after arriving in Australia...James (born 1859) & William (born 1863).
