Did you leave that section open underneath the deck ?

: : The decks between the cabin and the hulls get installed at the gunwall. Now that leave about 1 foot of cabin below the the deck. Do I enclose that or is it supposed to be left open ?

: You are reading them correctly. The cabin bottom ( i.e. seat level is below the level of the narrow deck between hull and cabin. Compare various of the plan sheets.
