Sorry for the delay in replying.

The "walkway" between the hull and cuddy is simply that. Use 9mm ply with framing under. Don't make a locker as on Romany. On Gypsy it will be too small to be useful and just adds weight and construction time.
See final assembly sht 5, bottom left corner for details.
