I consulted with Richard and he agrees that Bridge deck slamming has not been an issue on his voyages with Eclipse.
Good volume in the hulls ; a knuckle that increases volume as it goes higher and a well positioned Bridgedeck far enough aft etc.
Richard says he has delivered two forty footers that had slamming issues though!: Jim,
: I considered this for our project when reading about the work that was done on the Lightwave Gypsy. Then I remembered that when sailing on Richard's Eclipse for about 500 miles, a wave may have hit the bridge two or three times in the entire two week trip. Most of the sailing was downwind or a broad reach. This is what I know. Mark
