I think the xynole was fine. I've used it since, and it's quite easy to work with. I got the 12oz (no mat) biax, for my Romany, from Noah's marine, and I've had no problems. I'm using Raka's 5-1 system. Also no problems.

I would use raka's cold hardner again, but not for wetting out cloth.
